💷 Cashing Up & Finishing a Driver Shift (Tablet & Driver App)

This guide explains how to cash up a driver and complete their shift using both the Driver App and the Store Tablet.

📱 Driver App Process

🚪 Step 1: Finish Shift (Driver)

• The driver can select “Finish Shift” in the Driver App

💰 Step 2: Review Cash Collected

• The app will display the total cash collected from deliveries

⚠️ Important

• If the driver attempts to finish their shift before returning cash:
  • ❌ The system will not allow the shift to be completed

📲 Tablet Process (Store Side)

🚚 Step 3: Open Dispatcher

• On the store tablet, tap the truck icon to open Dispatcher
• Click the “Drivers” tab at the top of the screen
• Select the relevant driver from the list

💷 Step 4: Return Cash

• Click the “Return Cash” button
• A screen will appear to enter the amount being handed over

🔢 Step 5: Confirm Cash Amount

• Count the cash provided by the driver
• Ensure it matches what the system shows is owed
• Enter the amount into the device
• Click “OK” to confirm

✅ Step 6: Confirmation

• The system will display a confirmation message that the cash has been returned

📱 Final Step (Driver App)

✔️ Step 7: Finish Shift

• The Driver App will update to show £0.00 owed
• The driver can now successfully select “Finish Shift”
