This guide explains how to pause orders using the tablet device to temporarily stop customers from placing orders.
🧭 Step-by-Step Guide
📱 Step 1: Open Order Manager
- Open Order Manager on the tablet device
⚙️ Step 2: Access Pause Settings
- Tap the three dots (top right corner)
- Select “Set Order Pause”
⏸️ Step 3: Pause Orders
- Tap “Pause Now”
💬 Step 4: Add Customer Message
- Enter a message explaining the store closure
💡 Tip
This message will be visible to customers on the app/website, so keep it clear and informative (e.g. “Store temporarily closed due to staff shortage”).
🚫 Step 5: Confirm Pause
- Tap “Pause Orders”
📊 Step 6: Select Pause Reason
- Choose a Pause Reason from the list
ℹ️ Note
This is for internal reporting only and is not visible to customers
🔒 Step 7: Enter Password (If Required)
- If prompted, enter the password
- Click “Submit”
🔐 Important
This step only appears if a password restriction has been set up.
A pop-up will now appear to inform you that your store is paused. To exit this pop-up, click “Cancel” or to resume service click “Unpause“
If you exit the pop-up and would like to resume service later in the day:
📱 Step 1: Locate Pause Banner
- At the top of the screen, tap the “Store on Pause” message
▶️ Step 2: Unpause Orders
- Tap “Unpause”
✅ Step 3: Confirm
- Tap “OK” to confirm
NOTE: This pause feature resets at 1 am. If you require a pause in service for a longer period of time, please use the holiday feature outlined here.
