How to cash up and finish a driver shift (using the tablet and driver app)

The steps below outline the process for cashing up and finishing a driver shift using both the tablet and the Driver App

1. The Driver has an option on the app to ‘Finish Shift‘. The app will also tell the driver how much cash they have collected from the customer deliveries. If the driver tries to ‘Finish Shift‘ before they return the cash to the store, the system will not allow this to happen

2. On the Store tablet, navigate to the ‘Dispatcher‘ menu by clicking on the ‘Truck‘ icon highlighted below. Once on this screen, click on the ‘Drivers‘ tab at the top of the screen. Select the relevant driver from your driver list

3. Select the ‘Return cash‘ button and you will be presented with a screen to enter the value that the driver is physically handing over.

4. Count the cash that the driver gives to you and make sure it matches what the system indicates they owe. Enter the figure into the device and press ‘OK‘ once entered

5. The system will now display a message confirming the return of the money owed by the driver.

6. The driver app will now update to show the cash owed is now £0.00 and this will allow them to select the ‘Finish Shift‘ button
