This article is here to help you if your tablet is having connection issues. The points below can help you identify the cause and provide solutions.
Is the Wi-Fi working for other devices?
Try connecting another device to the Wi-Fi network, ie. a laptop, computer or a phone.
If other devices can use the Wi-Fi, the problem is most likely with your tablet.
Possible solutions:
- “Forget” Wi-Fi connection on your tablet and reconnect.
- Try temporarily disconnecting other devices from the network. (Some routers like Virgin Media home style accounts limit the number of devices that can get Internet data per router so even though devices indicate they are connected to the WIFI they aren’t fully connected for data.)
- Make sure you have the latest system update on your tablet.
- Turn tablet off and on again. Log out on the tablet and log back in again.
- Reboot the tablet. Hold the volume up and power button in together until the screen shows an orange loading symbol. This should take roughly 15/20 seconds.
Does the tablet work with another internet source?
Check whether your tablet can connect to another Wi-Fi network, like a hotspot from your phone.
If your tablet works when connected elsewhere, the problem is most likely with the Wi-Fi network.
Possible Solutions:
- Turn Wi-Fi router off and on again.
- Place tablet closer to the Wi-Fi router, alternatively, a Wi-Fi booster may be needed.
- Connect the tablet to a hotspot or an alternative Wi-Fi until the original Wi-Fi is working.
