How to enable infrared scanning on the tablet

NOTE: The infrared scanning is available only on newer devices, like V2Pro or P2Pro.

The steps below outline how to change the behaviour of the Volume Up/Down button to enable infrared scanning on your tablet.

1. Open the “Settings” and scroll down to the “Device” section
2. Click on the “Volume keys custom” setting and move the toggle button to “Enable” the scanning feature

Now that you have changed the behaviour of the Volume Up/Down button, the infrared beam on the back of the device will become active once you press the Volume Up/Down button and will stay active as long as the button is pressed. Once you start scanning, the barcode will be sent to the application that is currently open.
