The steps below outline the process for making a product appear in more than one category:
WARNING: The “Main Category” should always be set to the permanent category of the product, i.e. the category that best fits the product at all times. If the “Main Category” is ever hidden, the item may not appear/work in the platform as expected.
- Log into the admin area with the logins provided to you
- Click “Dashboard” on the left side of the page
- Then click “Menu“
- Search for the product you are wanting to appear in multiple categories
- Then click on the pencil button to edit the product
- To view the category options, click the word “Categories” at the top of the page
- You will see that the “Main Category” is already selected
- Find the first empty category field, for example, “Category 2” and click the drop-down
- Select the additional category you want the product to appear in
- Click “Save” to save the changes
Now the product will appear in both the main category and the new category selected in step 9
