How to add a Parent/Root Category

The steps below outline how to add a category and assign an image via the admin dashboard.

1. Log in to the admin area with the logins provided to you
2. Click on “Dashboard” on the left side of the page
3. Then click “Categories“
4. At the top of the page, click “Add“
5. Leave the “Parent Category” as “Root“
6. Add the name of the category to the “Name” field
7. Tick “Display as grid“
8. Scroll down and ensure that if your category contains tobacco or alcoholic products the relevant tickboxes are ticked to add an age check during checkout
   Note: You will also need to enter the required age in the “Age Restriction Years Old” box
9. Scroll down to “App Image” and click the “Choose file” button
10. Add the desired image (images must be in a .png format)
11. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page

The new category will now appear under “Dashboard” > “Categories“
