How to create a Banner Category

The below steps outline how to create a Banner Category and how to make it ‘Clickable’ if required.

1. Log in to the admin area with the logins provided to you (please raise a ticket for our Support Team if you do not have your Admin logins)
2. Click “Dashboard” on the left side of the page
3. Click “Categories”
4. Click “Add” on the top left-hand side
5. The “Parent Category” should be left as ‘Root‘
6. Name the Category as you would like. E.g. Freezer Meal Deal.
   • As this is a Banner Category, the category name will not be visible to customers unless it is on the website
7. If the Banner Category will contain Alcohol or Tobacco, please tick the relevant boxes and also add ‘18‘ to the “Age Restriction Old” box
8. Scroll down to the ‘Banner Category‘ section and click on the dropdown
9. Tick the ‘Is Banner Category‘ box
10. Change the last digit (1) in the ‘Font Colour‘ box to ‘0’.
    • This ensures that, on the App device, the Category name does not appear over the banner image
11. To add an image to your Banner Category, press the ‘Upload‘ button just beneath the ‘Font Colour‘ box.
    • This will allow you to select a saved image for your Banner Category.
    • NOTE: Images must be in PNG FORMAT and sized as 1125 x 354 PIXELS
12. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Save‘ button

If you would like your banner to be clickable, please follow the additional steps below.

• This will allow customers to click the banner and see products placed within the Banner Category. 

13. Tick the ‘Is Banner Clickable‘ box.

14. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the ‘Save‘ button

15. Finally, click on ‘Categories‘ under ‘Dashboard‘ to review your category order

NOTE: The Banner Category should be the first category on your menu.
